Expect to see a lot of new faces in"Homeland" Season 3,music dvd releases. Showtime has unveiled a list of eight new guest stars who have joined the cast.

The list includes Joanna Merlin as Grandma Lois, Jessica Brody's mother;Nazanin Boniadi as Fara, a capable analyst despite her young appearance; Amy Morton as Erin Kimball, Carrie Mathison's CIA appointed attorney; Gary Wilmes as Dr. Richardson, a psychiatrist helping Dana Brody cope with recent events; and Sam Underwood as Leo, a new friend of Dana's with a troubled past.

Other new cast members will play government newcomers looking for answers in the wake of Season 2's terror attack,blu ray shops. Tracy Letts portrays Senator Andrew Lockhard, the powerful, authoritative and commanding Committee Chairman; Lawrence Clayton portrays Admiral Jim Pennington, the Presiden't National Security Advisor; and Pedro Pascal portrays Majority Counsel David Portillo, a member of the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence.

In addition to these eight newcomers, it's also reported by HitFix that F. Murray Abraham, who plays ex-Black Ops specialist Dar Adal, and Sarita Choudhury, who plays Saul's estranged wife Mira, have been promoted to series regulars in Season 3.

Showtime recently revealed the synopsis for "Homeland's" third season. It reads:

"'Homeland' Season 3 opens during the aftermath of the horrific terror attack that decimated the U.S. intelligence apparatus, and prompted a global manhunt for the world's most wanted terrorist -- Nick Brody (Damian Lewis). As Carrie (Claire Danes) and Saul (Mandy Patinkin) begin to pick up the pieces of their shattered professional and personal lives, they are swept up in the political and media firestorm surrounding the terror attack and the subsequent search for Brody's whereabouts."

"Homeland" Season 3 premieres on Showtime on Sept. 29.
