Summary of  Merlin Seasons 1-5 DVD Box Set 

series 1

Camelot is hosting its annual sword tournament and knights from throughout the realm come to compete. Among those hoping to win the crown is Knight Valiant. Armed with a magical shield, Valiant will stop at nothing to win his prize. Merlin attempts to stop Valiant's evil scheme before Arthur becomes the next knight to die.

series 2

When a mysterious warrior woman challenges Arthur to a duel, no one could possibly predict the devastating chain of events that is set in motion - least of all the young Prince himself. Arthur and Merlin soon find themselves on a strange quest to find out the truth about Arthur's mother at the behest of the beautiful Morgause. Through her Arthur discovers a dark secret which threatens to bring about the downfall of the kingdom.

series 3

Uther has Arthur get engaged to Princess Elena, who arrives in Camelot. Elena is not dainty or lady-like and Arthur does not like her. Furthermore, her nanny Grunhilda is working for the Sidhe Elder to use Arthur's marriage to take over Camelot. Merlin finds out that Elena is possessed by a Sidhe (pronounced "Shee"), and then Merlin and Gaius must battle Grunhilda to free Elena from the Sidhe. However, as they are about to marry, Arthur calls off the wedding, saying that neither of the two love each other.

series 4

Morgana finds a powerful ally in the Southron warlord Helios. Together they hatch the perfect plan to force Camelot to its knees... With the Kingdom - and Arthur - preoccupied by the arrival of the beautiful Princess Mithian, it falls to an absent friend to raise the alarm.
