Summary of Strike Back Seasons 1-3 DVD Box Set

 Season 1

Former SAS soldier Felix Masuku assassinates what he believed was Robert Mugabe in Harare, but was in fact a double. He is quickly arrested and sent to a highly secure prison. Not wanting him to stand trial, Section 20 deploys Porter to break Masuku out and kill him before then. Porter travels to Harare posing as a blood diamond dealer and is soon arrested and brought to the same prison. After learning from Leyla Thompson (May) that the trial date is being brought forward, Porter moves his plan forward also. Meanwhile, an anonymous source tips off the escape plan to a Colonel Tshuma. As his men arrive, Porter successfully breaks Masuku out. As he prepares to exe cute Masuku, he tells Porter he was hired by British intelligence to assassinate Mugabe, but was betrayed by his handler. Believing him, Porter keeps him alive and they plan to escape Zimbabwe.

Season 2

Scott and Stonebridge evade the terrorists and find Mahmood, who turns out to be a woman, Iman Zubedah (Sasha Behar). Zubedah reveals she knows the location of hidden weapons of mass destruction (WMD) that were to be planted in Iraq to vindicate the war. After Scott is recaptured and taken to the lobby with the other hostages, Zubedah is escorted out by the terrorist leader, assumed to be Latif (Scott earlier admits that he never actually saw him). Stonebridge rescues Zubedah and kills the leader. When the Indian military storm the hotel, Scott fails to stop the terrorists from dropping a bomb, but Stonebridge arrives in time to catch it. Zubedah is later brought to Pakistani intelligence officer Jamal Ashkani (Mistry), who is revealed to be Latif; Zubedah is later found dead. After Scott is assigned to Section 20, he reveals to Stonebridge that Porter's code was directed at Scott; Porter no longer trusted Section 20, believing it is embroiled in a conspiracy involving Latif, the WMDs, his capture, and Scott's dishonourable discharge. Scott and Stonebdrige decide to investigate the possible corruption.

Season 3

Dalton reveals she is high-ranking military intelligence operative, as part of secret mission to intercept the nuclear triggers. Now the group have escaped, Waabri places a bounty on their heads. Waabri also meets with Matlock who offers to buy the triggers. Scott, Stonebridge and Dalton find and intercept the exchange, confiscating the triggers. However unknown to them, they were swapped by Waabri's girlfriend. Dalton and company meet at the rescue point, but their helicopter is shot down. They are surrounded by Waabri's militia when they are "rescued" by Matlock's helicopeter. Scott trades the triggers for Waabri, however Matlock discovers the fake triggers and kills Waabri. The group are ambushed by the militia again, until they are rescued by an African army unit.
