CSI Miami is a popular televisions series produced by CBS Television Network. Created by Anthony E. Zuiker, Carol Mendelsohn and Ann Donahue, the show is produced in collaboration with a Canadian media company ñ Alliance Atlantis. It is based on the original ’CSI: Crime Scene Investigation’, which resulted in the production and release of two spin-offs including such as ’CSI: Miami’ and ’CSI: New York (CSI: NY)’, with each becoming popular in their own right. Unlike the former CSI: Crime Scene Investigation and CSI: NY, this series of CSI: Miami unfolds a single case in each episode. CSI Miami follows the investigations of a team of forensic scientists who unravel the mysterious deaths and crimes committed in Miami. The CSI team solves the crime mysteries with the aid of forensics evidence. The team comprise unique talented individuals ñ specialists in different fields such as blood-splatter analysis, hair and fibre analysis, audio/visual analysis, and materials and element analysis. The series is aired in a dozen countries worldwide and watched by over 20 million viewers, making it the highest-rated television series. According to 2006 Reuters,Supernatural Season 1-6 DVD Box Set, the show is the most-watched crime series in the world. The CSI: Miami PC game has also been developed, based on the series.
