Finale Unexpected: Our Take on the LIFE UNEXPECTED Series Finale

By theTVaddict on January 19th, 2011

Despite the fact that we’re hesitant to hit a good show when it’s down — alternatively effectively canceled at the CW for the circumstance may be — we do feel the absence to get a few things off of our chest with greeting to last night’s LIFE UNEXPECTED series finale.

THE GOOD: While no accurate how we would have liked apt have seen the catena end, we are unabashed suckers as flash forwards namely wrap up storylines in a trim and natty bow. Particularly ones that comprise Cate and Baze’s crying response to Lux graduating tall school, Lux finally calling Cate and Baze “Mom” and “Dad,” and a smart nod apt the show’s incipient caption that watched the writers slip “Light Years” into Lux’s Valedictorian speech. Which brings us to…

THE BAD: Valedictorian, truly? Now don’t get us bad, as thrilled as we were to see Lux successfully overcome her learning disabled [Insert clumsy shout out to Mr. Eric Matthews here!] we can’t help merely muse that it would have been extra than enough of a victory for Lux to have simply graduated high school and attend academy with her best friend Tasha. And speaking of Tasha, why exactly is she still best friends with Lux? First Lux plays somewhat of an integral character in sending her behind to Juvie, only to then get cracking and embezzle her boyfriend. Look, we appreciative that having our titular heroine bring ... to an end with “Abercrombie” Jones was important in illustrating that Lux finally got the chance to score (in more ways than an!) the quintessential high school experience, but was it actually needful to do so at penniless Tasha’s disbursement? Which brings us to the biggest shocker of the evening, Cate and Baze got their happily ever after… whodathunkit,Midsomer Murders! Certainly not us, seeing as though we stopped rooting for them as a pair behind creator Liz Tigelaar made it very remove that LIFE UNEXPECTED wasn’t about the 2 of them getting together, but prefer celebrating a another kind of family… but we digress. And will conclude with what namely hands down the maximum disappointing issue surrounding last night’s finale. Math and Alice WTF! Just kidding…

THE UGLY: Filling the chasm in the CW’s timetable starting February 23 will be the network’s newest reality competition: SHEDDING FOR THE WEDDING. Can 9 overweight couples compete to see who can lost the most heaviness and triumph the wedding o f their dreams? Suffice to say,BRITNEY The Singles, we will not be tuning in to find out.
