WAHIAWA, Hi -- The premise: 8 physicians in the medium of the Amazon,Two and a Half Men, fighting to save lives and their own spirits.

KITV4's Lara Yamada got an inside see at the making of ABC's new show "Off the Map" where some of the best of Hawaii is taking centre stage.

Tucked away after a silence neighborhood in Central Oahu: Drama, behavior and the drive to be ABC's new buffet show.

It's the fable of a group of rouge doctors -- each one is sending solitary skills, but also a dubious elapse and private demons.

It's a colorful graph line set in the South American forest. Or is it? Despite a brand current set speckled with alien signs and spanish-looking cast, a educated eye reveals Hawaii in all its reputation.

It's a big premium for a group of actors learning the benefits of alive and working in heaven.

"The beauty here is matched anywhere," said actor Jason George who plays Dr. Otis Cole. "We're incited about that. On top of that the salute that we've gotten from folk has been imaginary."

"Everybody talks about how smart it is," joined Rachelle Lefevre, a.k.a Dr. Ryan Clark, who was 1 of the final actors to add the hurl. "But you must talk about how beauteous it is, for it is that smart."

"I've met amazing people," said critically applauded actor Caroline Dhavernas, likewise known as Dr. Lily Brenner. "I'm learning how apt surf with the best surfers. I average, I can't actually complain about that at all!"

New Zealander Martin Henderson takes the guiding male character for Dr. Ben Keeton. He said Hawaii reminds him of his natural nation. "I feel very many at family here and you know the aloha spirit, I consider there's a real charity."

The show is the brainchild of Shonda Rhimes, Betsy Beers and Jenna Bans -- makers of the hit shows Grey's Anatomy and Private Practice.

It's a mid-season replacement for ABC,In The Night Garden, just favor Grey's, but with a vibe and a backdrop tailored to capture the centers and minds of its own spectators.

"I think I talk for everybody," says Henderson. "It's just a nightmare location to have to come and go daily."
