Fear the Walking Dead - The Complete 1st Season: Special EditionIn the press release for last month's release of The Complete 1st Season, Anchor Bay said that "Fans can also look forward to FEAR THE WALKING DEAD: THE COMPLETE FIRST SEASON Special Edition in 2016. Release date will be announced shortly."
While we're still waiting for the studio to make it official, home video industry sources from up in Canada are informing us that Anchor Bay has set a TENTATIVE date for Fear the Walking Dead - The Complete 1st Season: Special Edition on DVD and Blu-ray Disc for March 22nd. This is still at the "rumor" stage for now, though. However, we felt confident enough to pass this along to our readers because the thumbnail artwork you see above and to the right was also provided to our industry sources. Again, though, this is NOT FINAL ART, and could change!
In the meantime, though, odvdo's branch is showing pre-order listings for Fear the Walking Dead - The Complete 1st Season: Special Edition in both formats, with the DVD version going for $59.98 SRP, and a $69.99 SRP for the Blu-ray edition. Both of those listings show "placeholder" dates of 12/31/16, but we all know it won't take that long for these to become available. Stay tuned for updates, as further developments occur!
