The Expanse - 'Season 1' of the Syfy Show is Apparently Scheduled for DVD, Blu-ray

Hundreds of years in the future, things are different than what we are used to, after humans have colonized the solar system and Mars has become an independent military power. Rising tensions between Earth and Mars have put them on the brink of war. Against this backdrop, a hardened detective and a rogue ship's captain come together to investigate the case of a missing young woman. The investigation leads them on a race across the solar system that could expose the greatest conspiracy in human history.
Last Thursday, Syfy announced that their well-received new series was renewed for a second series of 13 episodes, to air in 2017. Now, while the freshman season 10 episodes continues to broadcast on the cable network (currently planned to go until sometime during the first half of February), we have word that The Expanse - Season 1 will come to home video on March 22nd.

Universal Studios Home Entertainment hasn't officially announced the title yet, but www.odvdo.com has added pre-order listings for the item in versions on high-def Blu-ray Disc and standard DVD, with that date. Details, package art, and extras (if any) haven't been included with those listings so far. And of course, since the studio hasn't formally put it on the schedule yet, the date and pricing may not be finalized, and could be subject to change.
