1900 (R2) in April
Fox Home Entertainment have announced the UK Region 2 DVD release of 1900 for 30th April 2007 priced at £17.99. A history of Italy from 1900 to 1945 is reflected through the friendship of two men across class lines. 1900 is a monumental epic about the political turmoil between WWI and WWII created in the spirit of Once Upon A Time in America. Directed by Oscar winner Bernado Bertolucci the film stars starring Robert De Niro, Gerard Depardeieu, Burt Lancaster and Donald Sutherland.
The five-hour epic is spread across two-discs where it is presented in anamorphic widescreen. Extras include two featurettes, 1900: The Story, The Cast (14mins) and 1900: Creating An Epic (14mins).
