Mad About You - Mill Creek Entertainment Acquires Rights to 'The Complete Series'

The 1992 show starring Paul Reiser and Helen Hunt ran for 7 seasons. From 2002 to 2007, Sony released the first three seasons on DVD. Then, in 2010, Shout! Factory put out the 4th and 5th seasons. Along the way, a best-of "Collection" came out with 21 episodes culled from every season of the show, but the sixth and seventh seasons have never been fully released on DVD before.
In 2014, Mill Creek Entertainment re-released the first and second seasons at very nice prices, but that only re-ignited the calls from passionate fans to get all seven seasons put out onto DVD. Now, we have an exclusive announcement from Mill Creek Entertainment they are doing EXACTLY that, in Spring 2016! Here's the studio's announcement:
MAD ABOUT YOU will finally be available in its entirety on DVD in Spring 2016, from Mill Creek Entertainment. All 7 seasons' worth of episodes will be compiled into an all-new Complete Series release.
Mill Creek is working with Paul Reiser to develop some new special features exclusive to this DVD set, while also including several previously released bonus materials! Additional details are to be announced in the coming weeks.
That's GREAT news! There's no word yet as to whether Mill Creek will also be allowed to release the sixth and seventh seasons as individual sets, for fans who already have the first five seasons separately. Even if they're not able to (their license with Sony may or may not allow it), Mill Creek's releases are often very attractively priced, so you can probably afford to pick up Mad About You - The Complete Series just to get the missing two seasons (and the cool new extras, too!).
