Hosted by supermodel Heidi Klum, PROJECT RUNWAY is an exciting new reality series that gives twelve talented and hungry fashion designers the opportunity of a lifetime - a chance to have their line shown in front of the global fashion community in New York and displayed in the pages of Elle magazine. To earn this honour they have to compete against each other in a series of challenges that will determine who has what it takes to be the next "It" designer. Through each challenge, a designer is eliminated, ultimately leaving one to claim their rightful place in fashion's spotlight.

Sixteen designers compete against one another in weekly design challenges held at the at The Parsons New School For Design in New York City. Contestants are eliminated each week until only three top performers remain. The final three face off during New York's Fashion Week in February. The winner receives $100,000 to help launch their own clothing line, a 2007 Saturn SkyRoadster, and the opportunity to have their designs featured in an ELLE magazine fashion spread.

01.Road to Runway
Tonight on Road to the Runway: You will join Tim Gunn on his cross-country search for a new group of America's next great fashion designers. Out of the thousands that auditioned, fifteen will be selected to compete for a chance to show their collection at Olympus Fashion Week. We will also see some familiar faces as we check in to see how some of the designers are doing from previous seasons since leaving the runway.

02.Challenge: Wall to Wall Fashion
Heidi later interrupts the gathering to make an announcement. She informs the designers that their first challenge is to make a design using the materials from their apartments. The designers erupt with excitement. Tim Gunn goes on to explain that the challenge is all about innovation and no materials in their apartments are off limits. Heidi adds that the designer who touches the item first, gets it. She then announces that they have 15 minutes to collect their materials and the clock starts ticking.

03.Fit For A Queen
The designers are told that the next Challenge will be to create a dress for an ?¡ãAmerican Beauty.?¡À Miss USA, Tara Conner, is revealed - and it's also announced that she will wear the winning design in the next Miss Universe pageant. Designers pitch their vision to Conner, seven finalists then lead the design and the seven remaining designers pair off with team leaders to create the garments. Conner chooses the winner, and the second contestant is eliminated by the judges.

04.Designer's Best Friends
A visit to Central Park sets the scene in which the designers are informed that they'll be designing an evening outfit based on a story that's been inspired by a tiny dog. The designers must also design outfits for the dogs to wear.

05.Reap What You Sew
The morning begins with the designers getting ready for their next challenge and Angela anticipating a comeback. Jeffrey feels the need to prove himself and is irritated with Keith sliding by on bullshit. Later on the runway, Heidi informs the designers that they will be creating an outfit for INC, International Concepts and Tim will fill them in on the details later. She brings out the models and decides to mix things up by letting the designers choose a new model for the next challenge. Uli, being the winner of the last challenge, is the first to choose. She shakes things up by taking Keith's model, Nazri. The other designers choose their models with Robert last to select.

06.Ironic Statement
Heidi mixes things up again and lets the models select the designers they would like to work with. She also reminds them that with the two eliminations from the last challenge, two models will be left out. The process begins with Alexandra choosing first and selecting Allison. Amanda decides to stay with Kayne. Nazri selects Michael, who seems pleased. Finally it gets down to the last three models, with Bradley left to be chosen. Heidi picks Katie's name from the bag and she is paired with Bradley, leaving Javi and Katia out. Heidi then tells the designers that they will be modernizing a look for a fashion icon and their models will be choosing their icons. The models head to the workroom to meet with Tim.

07.Waste Not, Want Not
On the runway, the designers have 1 hour to get ready and head out on their unknown trip. Tim tells the group that their challenge is to be revealed behind a door. The door opens and recycling materials are revealed which are to be used to create the designs for this challenge. Tim then gives the designers 30 minutes to gather their materials. They tear through the trash looking for materials and collecting them in their bins. After the 30 minutes, the designers head to an art supply store for the remainder of their materials. Once all of the shopping is complete the designers return to the Parsons workroom. Tim then announces that they have until midnight, 10 hours, to complete their garments, leaving the designers worried.

08.Everyday Woman
On the runway, Heidi explains that their next challenge will involve creating an outfit for the everyday woman. Then she asks the women to come out on the runway. One by one the designers are surprised to see that their mothers and sisters are the model. Next Heidi instructs the designers to pick someone to design for and adds that they cannot choose their own mom or sister. The designers are shocked and disappointed. Later in the workroom, the designers are finally able to hug and kiss their moms and sisters. After their reunions, Tim enters and announces that he has a surprise for them. He tells them that they?¡¥ve been invited to a special lunch hosted by the guest judge for this challenge and they?¡¥re to leave right away.

09.High Flying Fashion
The designers are told they will need to create an outfit for an international jet-setter. The twist: They will be that jet-setter. Designers are the models this week. After a review on the runway, Heidi informs the designers that the final test will be how their creations travel. They hurry back to the apartments where they find airplane tickets. Once at the airport, the destination of Paris is revealed. In Paris, the ensembles are reviewed by guest judge Catherine Malandrino. In the end, one designer goes home. Six remain.

10.Couture Du Jour
In the Parsons Paris workroom, Catherine Malandrino gives the designers the challenge of creating a couture gown. Tim Gunn further explains that the designers are expected to do hand-sewn hems, embroidery and beading. Then Catherine adds that they will only have two days to work on this challenge before presenting their gowns at her party on Sunday.

11.Black and White
The designers are told they will have two surprise guests. A twist is revealed, when previously auf'd designers Angela and Vincent appear. In this Challenge, any designer that won a previous Challenge is brought back to compete again. (Keith would have come back, but was ineligible.) Designers are asked to design a cocktail dress in a black and white palette, and they must use all of the fabric that they purchase. In the end, three designers are eliminated from the Runway.

12.What the Elle?
Four designers remain. The winner will go to Olympus Fashion Week, and Heidi announces that they are not committed to taking three contestants to Fashion Week this season.
The designers are asked to design one signature piece that represents their point of view as a designer. They also must choose three adjectives to describe their design style. In addition, the winning design will be featured in Elle magazine.
In the end, it is determined which designers will go to Fashion Week as finalists in Project Runway.

13.Reunion
The Season 3 cast is reunited to discuss the drama from the competition. There are now four finalists. Also, one designer wins the first ?¡ãFan Favorite?¡À award ?a and a check for $10,000.

14.Finale, Part 1
The first part of the two-part finale to Season 3. The four final designers are Uli, Laura, Michael and Jeffrey. Tim Gunn visits each designer in their homes to find out how their work is progressing before the final runway show.

15.Finale, Part 2
It's the finale! The final four designers ?a Uli, Jeffrey, Laura, and Michael ?a are all set to show at Olympus Fashion Week at Bryant Park. But there's a problem.
Laura had previously brought concerns to the producers that Jeffrey may have had outside help on his garments. After looking into the allegations, however, Tim Gunn and the producers find no merit to the accusations. But Jeffrey's receipts are not completely in order, and he has gone over budget by a few hundred dollars. He is allowed to show his collection at Fashion Week, provided that he removes the couple of items that would have pushed his budget over the $8,000 limit.
